I think you should only do business with friends: people you love, trust and admire. Those that you enjoy being around and make you laugh. I believe you will live longer and your business will reap the benefits of trusting, sound relationships.
A case in point, a very talented designer in our area created the painting above. I loved this painting for this room the minute I laid eyes on it. Nothing else would do, I had to have it for this project. We had been working with Roy and his store for about a year as we were getting our design business up and going. I found him friendly, creative, kind and easy to work with and he has been a tremendous help to each space we have created. In a short period of time, he felt like an old friend. I keep going back because I want to work with him, and maybe I just want to see and talk to him again. Roy trusting that we would use his painting in the best light possible was a big leap of faith for an interior designer/artist, but he did it, I can't thank him enough and it looks marvelous!
Thank you Roy for being a trusted friend this past year. We will keep in touch to see what all you create and will be desperately begging for another painting as beautiful as this one.
